The 2021 Cardiff Metropolitan University Cardiff 10K has unfortunately been postponed due to the ongoing uncertainty around Covid-19 restrictions and the return of mass participation events in Wales.
Race organisers Kidney Wales have launched the 2021 event as a virtual 10K, with the attempt to re coup some of the fundraising income that we are expecting to lose due to the event not being able to go ahead.
For this we need your help! You can take on the 10K distance virtually between Sunday 29 August and Sunday 5 September for your chance to gain your finishers medal and tshirt all whilst supporting a specific Kidney Wales project.
Following significant interest from kidney patients and families, Kidney Wales has recently announced the funding of two research studies with the aim of discovering how effective the Covid-19 vaccines are for dialysis and transplant patients who are clinically vulnerable to the disease.
The cost per entry is £21.50 + postage. All proceeds from this virtual race will help bring this project to life for the kidney community across Wales and the UK, giving answers to concerns that our community are faced with as lockdown is beginning to ease and shielding lifted
