On a note of disappointment, the Organisers regretted the lack of water at the 5k mark of the Cardiff 10k yesterday. The Race was let down by the suppliers of the water who had assured the Organisers the supply for the morning. But each runner received adequate water supply immediately at the end of the Race in bags and extra water was supplied at the end of the race to all runners. Organisers apologised to runners .
The Fun Run had children from aged 5 to 15 running and the 10k had the best ever number of entries. Over 112 Teams competed in the 10k and the winners were South Wales Fire & rescue.
The winners of the 2k were Ciaran Lewis and Megan Tatnell
The 10k race was won by two Kenyan athletes, Milton Kiplagat Rotich in the men’s category and Alice Mogire winning the women’s race.
