Tomorrow (Monday 18 September) bids will open for the Salaman Travelling and Excellence Scholarships. The aim of the Salaman Scholarship is to provide financial support to an individual or a research group to facilitate gaining further experience and excellence that will enable strengthening of health provision in Wales for kidney patients by enquiring and travelling to parts of the world who are known for expertise and to report back to inform the work of Kidney Wales for patients and their families in Wales.
There are a range of scholarships available from £500 – £10,000. The individual or team must demonstrate commitment to a particular project and clearly indicate how the activities supported by the Travelling scholarship will enhance the capacity to engage in conceptually grounded, methodologically rigorous, and programmatic research efforts in renal excellence .
The scholarship is open to any level of qualification (PhD or more senior) and to the whole spectrum of clinical qualifications: nurses, clinicians, profession allied medicine.
