World Kidney Day 2019 is fast approaching, and Kidney Wales have a variety of activities planned to raise awareness across the country.

World Kidney Day is an annual global awareness and education event, held on the second Thursday in March every year.

The 2019 campaign will focus on the burden of kidney disease, disparities and access to healthcare with the theme: Kidney Health for Everyone Everywhere.

Kidney Wales will kick start this years campaign with a stand within the concourse at the University Hospital of Wales.  Followed by an awareness stand in the Oriel Senedd.  This drop in session hosted along with Organ Donation Wales will give you an opportunity to find out more about kidney disease and how you can help.  The day will be concluded with the annual Kidney Wales dodgeball tournament at Infinity Trampoline park where local businesses will go head to head to be crowned the 2019 Dodgeball champions.

If you are planning your own activities to mark World Kidney Day, we’d love to hear from you.  Kidney Wales are also asking supporters to host a tea party for the cause this month to raise vital funds for the cause.  For more information or to order your pack contact the team on 02920 343940 or email team@kidneywales.cymru
