Facebook Live Q&A with Dr Mike Stephens, Consultant Transplant Surgeon
19:00-20:00, Tuesday 9 June 2020

On Sunday 1 June Welsh Government announced a relaxation of the lockdown measures for people who have been shielding during the pandemic. From Monday 1 June, the advice for those who have been shielding during the pandemic says:

• Outdoor exercise is unlimited, as long as individuals strictly follow social distancing rules and hygiene practices
• Those who are shielding can meet outside with people from another household – but should not go into another person’s house or share food with them.

The Chief Medical Officer for Wales is continuing to develop his advice for what people who are shielding should and should not do after the 15 June. All who are shielding will receive a letter from the Chief Medical Officer for Wales before 15 June setting out the next steps.

This change has understandably given rise to lots of questions for the Welsh kidney community.

In response, Dr Mike Stephens, Consultant Transplant Surgeon, will provide information and guidance through a Facebook Live Q&A session to help us understand the next steps and what they mean for kidney patients and their families.  Please join our Kidney Wales Community private facebook group to view this session.

Please send your questions for Dr Mike by 9:00 on Monday 8 June to judith@kidneywales.cymru and he will answer the questions live on 9 June at 19:00.
