Following the pause to shielding on 16 August, many kidney patients are facing decisions about whether it is safe to return to the work place or school.  Information is available to help you to make informed decisions that are right for you and your family, and please speak to your kidney healthcare team to get advice that is specific to your individual circumstances.

The advice remains to work from home where possible.  However if you are seeking to return to the workplace, it is the responsibility of your employer to ensure it is COVID-safe.  The Welsh Government has issued guidance to employers on taking measures to make the workplace safe.  Wales Trade Union Congress (TUC) Cymru has launched a Whistleblowing Online hotline for any worker who may wish to report health and safety concerns: https://www.tuc.org.uk/news/covid-19-health-and-safety-concerns-work
